What's the best shampoo for dmged and dry hair ?

I just tried a new one, herbal essence makes a new one for long hair, and if you have long hair or not it feel so soft when I'm done, not greasy! i love it its in a dark red bottle. and it smells great too! What's the best shampoo for dmged and dry hair ?
* Hot oil treatments- I personally don't recommend them for one reason. The oil molecule is simply too large to penetrate the hair shaft. All they do is leave a layer of oil on the outer hair shaft which does result in smoother hair but give it a day and you'll see what I mean. Instead, use a cream based, deep conditioner 2 times a week.

* Get regular hair trims every 6-8 weeks to trim off the spilt ends

* Cut back on blow drying

* When blow-drying, force the air in he direction of your hair growth so you don't disturb the cuticle anymore then you have to.

* Use Boars hair brushes. These distribute oils better throughout the hair, down the hair shaft.

* Use daily conditioners and even better, use a leave-in conditioner as well

* Rinse with cool water as your final rinse to close the cuticle and prevent further damage.

* Avoid shampoos that are clear in color. These shampoos are refereed to as plain shampoos. Plain shampoos contain little to no moisturizer. Opt for a pearlized one that is made for dry, damaged hair. Shampoos can do a world of damage!!! Opt to buy a good moisturizing shampoo.

* Keep use of heating products to a minimum if possible. And always use a styling product that specifically protect hair during heat process.

* Scalp treatments can do wonders. Ask your Stylist if she offers this service. Not only does it stimulate hair growth and condition your hair, it feels great!

* Use products that don't contain alcohol

* Deep condition at least 2 times a week. Apply the conditioner to clean, damp hair. Put a shower cap on and hit it with the blow dryer. This will open up the cuticle and condition your hair better.

* You need Keratin protein shampoos and conditioners

* Use only ionic, ceramic heating appliances (blow-dryers, flat irons, curling irons) Read more about ionic and ceramic technology

* Cold water rinses after conditioning really do close the cuticle. If you can't take the cold, use an acidic rinse after conditioner. Check out our natural recipes for hair rinses.

* Time. time. and more Time. Did I say time? Fixing dry hair overnight is not going to happen. It's going to take a hair care regiment and commitment on your part. Split ends are a loss cause but dry hair can be helped.
