My two puppy dogs are having some dry skin issues right now. Is there a shampoo/ conditioner that could help?

They've both been itchin' and scratchin' a lot and the older one has a few raw spots now. If it makes a difference one is a bichon frise/ cocker spaniel mix. The other is an aussie cattle dog/ corgi/ somethingorother mix. Thanks! My two puppy dogs are having some dry skin issues right now. Is there a shampoo/ conditioner that could help?
It is possible they have allergies to food or environmental. You should switch their food to one w/o grain in it %26amp; try adding fish oil capsule to their food daily. Bichons have notorious skin issues %26amp; allergies.

Do not overbathe them. It makes it worse. Brushing helps by distributing their natural coat oils thru the hair. I suggest only using a good pet hypo shampoo w/o soap, detergent, dye or perfumes esp. for the bichon mix. They will break out over the smallest irritation. Do not conditioner - it does not help dry skin. In fact it changes their natural ph, will start drying them out more %26amp; cause pimples %26amp; rashes. My two puppy dogs are having some dry skin issues right now. try also taking them to the vet they may have a allergie to something my dog in the picture with my son had the same problem along with ear infections she almost looked mangy i took her to the vet and she had an allergy to grains she then adv to research different diets and i did. she is now on the barf diet. ask the vet they should be able to pinpoint the problem.
My dog had a problem with dry skin one time and I went to the pharmacy and bought some oatmeal bath, it comes in a box dry. Just follow the instruction, this should help sooth their itching. If it doesn't get any better you may have to take them to the vet and see what is wrong.
perfect shampoo!! just look at this website it says it will keep their hair in, stop them from itching, and moisturize their skin!

Check out some of the online pet suppliers under shampoos. You'll find zillions

I recently used kv pets. It was less expensive than the other two but try which ever is easier to use then compare prices among them.

Pet Meds has always been higher when I checked them .

You can try Omega 3's capsules tho it didn't help mine for dry skin.
Sometimes if you wash your dogs to much. They say you should only wash them 1 time a mouth. But if they start to smell it is best to get a wash cloth with a lil soap and water and but wash the some parts of your dogs.
This shampoo and conditioner works very well for dry and itchy skin:

Good luck!
Lavender essential oil shampoo is usually pretty good. Also, diet has impact on skin. Try feeding wild salmon oil with food.
Bring them to a pet store and ask them what shampoo they recomend.

If they do not give you a straight answer bring them to the vet {vets usually sell special shampoo's].

Good luck.
Try adding some fish oil to the kibbles

Sometimes skin problems are related to the diets...shift the food brand and see whether it's getting better...
Etiderm shampoo and conditioner works really well. You can ask your vet for a sample. Hope this helps.
ditto on having them checked for allergies and adding fatty acids such as fish oil to their food would be way better than any shampoo.
Use one that has Aloe Vera and Chamomile in it. You can get it at Pet Depot or Petco.
