i have tried garnier, but i agree, it doesn't always work. i might have hair like yours. i used to use Pantene Prov ( i think i spelled it wrong) or you can try Herbal Essence ';hello hydration';--that worked for me!!

good luck! hope i helped :)What kind of shampoo is used for dry and frizzy hair?
Well, I think the biggest problem is that you shouldn't be worrying about which shampoo to use, but which conditioner. But I will say that curls need more gentle care than straight hair (think delicate cycle as opposed to permanent press), and for me, switching to a sulfate free shampoo or shampoo bar and using a rich, nourishing conditioner has made a ton of difference. I love L'oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss conditioner for medium to long hair that's wavy/curly. Long name, yes, but really good stuff. Just check the label and make sure it doesn't have amodimethicone, because rumor has it they're changing the formula. I haven't seen evidence of it yet, but it's supposed to be coming.

You also need to make sure your hair is getting plenty of moisture by doing deep treatments once a week, and that can be as simple as mixing warm olive oil and honey and putting it all over your hair, then slapping a shower cap on it and sleeping on it. All you do is wash it out in the morning, and go on about your merry way.
i've got the same problem and all those shampoos don't rlly work for me.

try buying special oil for damaged hair and put it once or twice a week for an hour or two and then wash it off with a normal shampoo and conditioner for dry hair. better not dry your hair with the hair dryer, it makes the situation worse.

i've been using oil for about two months now, and my hair became softer and more manageable! i even started letting it down, which i never did before ;)
Try a shampoo and conditioner that specifically say they are made for frizzy/dry hair. There are a lot out there. Do a deep moisture mask on your hair 2 times a week ( the kind you have to leave on in the shower for 3 minutes or more ) and limit the use of hot tools. Use a leave in conditioner once you get out of the shower and your hair is damp. I'm sure this will help :]
Garnier Fructis ';Repair and Shine'; would be good. If you've tried that, then go for their deep conditioner as well. It will moisturize your hair and smooth it down. Good luck.
