I bleached my hair, and its really dry. Is there any shampoo and conditionor that works well that i could use?

My hair is so dry

it falls out. Well

i know that is supposed

to happen but it makes me really mad.

%26gt;:OI bleached my hair, and its really dry. Is there any shampoo and conditionor that works well that i could use?
Steer clear of Pantene Pro V, since it coats the hair in wax that eventually builds up, dries out, and dulls the color of your hair.

I would use something more natural so that it would be gentle. I've been using Phyto Organics, and it seems to work well, even though it's very expensive and can only be purchased at salons.

If you're not too worried about build up and don't have the money for the more expensive brands, I would suggest using Suave Professionals, which surprisingly leaves your hair feeling great, unlike other products by Suave.

It is hard to avoid build up, or to help repair hair when using cheaper drugstore brands.I bleached my hair, and its really dry. Is there any shampoo and conditionor that works well that i could use?
Same thing happened to me when I dyed blonde. I was forced to shave it all off. My hair was past my shoulders too. The best tip, DON'T DYE
I have had this dilemma. Definitely steer clear of the cheaper commercialized brands like Pantene, Herbal Essences and what not because although they smell nice and are cheap they are actually making your hair more dry. They coat your hair with a layer of wax to make it feel softer but in reality it is soaking up the natural oils and moisture. If you notice the first ingredient in all those conditioners are water and water drys out your hair. If you really want to soften your hair your going to have to spend a little money on a better brand like Nexxus or Aveda, these are very good organic conditioners that run anywhere between 12-25$, but its worth it :)

In the future, stay away from dye. I learned the hard way to...dont worry :)
I have highlites %26amp; i use 'Fructis' the intensive conditioner, its great %26amp; makes the hair soft %26amp; manageable.
Girl you need to try this NOW.

I think you should check out www.biolustreflorida.com

I just went to their launch party and had my hair done, free as a demo. Its amazing, my hair was breaking off and flying away. I will always always buy this stuff. Its awesome, I saw a difference as soon as she rinsed my hair. I have no damage anymore, its unbelievable! No more split-ends, its like my hair is NEW! I love it!

www.biolustreflorida.com

Instant Hair Repair for REAL its best on dry, dull, damaged and over processed hair.
Use Pantene it is the best shampoo i know!
Tisk! Tisk! I warn everyone about this. Bleach does that to your hair! It's suicide!

Herbal Essences's Hydration stuff won't work amazingly but I would switch to it while your treating it.

Deep contition it. You can do this buy buying deep conditioner but that can be expensive so below I have a recipe for mayo deep conditioner ( i know it sounds grows but it works great and wont smell that bad).

-recipe-

1/2 cup of REAL mayo

Comb the mayonaisse through your damp hair, then wrap your head in a towel, let it penetrate for 20 minutes. Shampoo.

Special Note: Make sure to use mayonaisse and NOT salad dressing. Salad Dressing will dry your hair out.

Did you bleach it to color it? If so then make sure the color comes with conditioning follow up packet. Otherwise it will get dry again.

Deep Mayo it once a moth and stick to that conditioner and you'll be better in no time.

Hope I Helped!

What kind of dandruff shampoo can you use, that won't dry out your hair if you have a relaxer?

Head%26amp;Shoulders is a great dandruff shampoo to use. Try using it weekly to really clear up your dandruff. However, you must make sure that it is dandruff, because ichy and flaky scalp could mean that your regular shampoo is to harsh on your hair and scalp, so you might need to change to a gentle shampoo. What kind of dandruff shampoo can you use, that won't dry out your hair if you have a relaxer?

I use Heads%26amp;Shoulders. It always works but you have to use it 2-3 times a week and everytime you shampoo. After using it, use a conditiner to smoothen out your hair. Ps. Heads%26amp;Shoulders wont dry out your hair!

Someone mentioned 'dry shampoo' in another question. Who makes this?

Didn't want to hijack someone else's question so thought I'd ask a new one.

She said it's a dry shampoo where you just spray in on dry hair and it takes the grease out of your hair.

Anyone used this? What brand is it? Where can I get it?Someone mentioned 'dry shampoo' in another question. Who makes this?
How lucky are you?! Think it was me who mentioned dry shampoo.

The one I have is Lee Stafford and you can get it from Boots/Superdrug. You can use it between washes, its in a pink aerosol can and you spray it on your roots and you can leave your hair longer between washes.

My hair is fairly thick and takes ages to dry... this product also smells lovely and is a godsend to save you washing and drying hair every day! Just follow the instructions on the can.

    Hope this helps!!

What is the best shampoo for thin dry hair professional stuff only?

Get some jojoba oil. the native americans used it for centuries...it is a plant that grows in S.E. Arizona. After it flowers, the seeds, or jojoba beans, are cold-compressed into an oil. It washes clean! It stimulates hair folicles and thickens the hair, as well as strengthening the entire hair shaft. My hair which is also blonde, always feels wonderful and happy afterwards! Massage a little into the scalp a couple of times a week for maybe 20 minutes before you shampoo. Best Dry Shampoo For Carpets?

Hello. I'm moving into a rented house and would like to clean the carpets using a dry shampoo. I would be very grateful for any recommendations. I have got some Dyson Zorb in the cupboard but have never used it as we don't have any carpets at the moment. Thank you very much.Best Dry Shampoo For Carpets?
If you have never used dry shampoo, don't bother. It may be fine for getting up messy spills, but it won't do a good job of cleaning carpets previously used by other tennants. Get a steam cleaner to remove allergens, bacteria, etc. that you wouldn't want to live with.

Yes, you can chemically straighten your hair at a salon. It lasts for years but costs a bit much. There are a lot of good shampoo brands out there. I favor Dove because their moisture therapy shampoo got rid of the static in my very dried up hair. =P

  • Best DRY SHAMPOO you have used?

    Hi there,

I have two kids under two and don't always have the chance to shower every day sometimes two and my hair has since been incredibly oily since having babies.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best dry shampoo you have used?? I have looked at reviews of a few at sephora but they all seem pretty similar.

Which dry shampoo do you like???Best DRY SHAMPOO you have used?
I just learned about dry shampoo maybe a month ago %26amp; it's my new obsession!! I have very oily hair, had to wash it daily my entire life. It's oily by the same evening. Yuck. Dry shampoo is a powder that absorbs oil, mattifies hair, and gives fantastic body. They use corn starch, cotton, clay, all sorts of natural ingredients to do their magic. And they really work. I've skipped a day (even 2 on the weekend) between hair washings! Never been able to do that before! I also hate the 'dirty head' smell, so some have scents. Some people don't like the scented kinds, so there are unscented ones available. Most of the powders are white, which freaked me out at first (I'm a brunette), but it really does disappear. If you still want to color-match the powder with your hair, there are colored varieties. I've heard that the colored ones can leave a mess on your hands (from rubbing it in) and walls (if it's a spray kind).

They come in sprays or loose powder. I did LOTS of reading about the products online before purchasing 4 (did I mention I'm obsessed). What I learned:

Sprays: Fantastically easy to apply. Make a bit of a mess in the bathroom (the shelf behind where I get ready looks like I haven't dusted it in ages due to the layer of dry shampoo). Some people have problems with the can getting clogged or leaking all the compressed air out, making your purchase a waste. Price ranges from about $6 for PSSSSSST! (found at drugstores, doesn't smell great, been around for decades) or Batiste (at Sally's, it's the rave in Europe) to $22-ish for Ojon, Klorane, Tiji, Oscar Blandi (found at Sephora, Ulta, any of the online stores like amazon/drugstore).

Powder: Loose powder. My fave. Some people put the nozzle directly on their scalp. After having a huge pile of powder left on my head, I decided that wasn't the way to go. I put the powder in a little container %26amp; use a makeup brush to apply it (in sections, to the roots, just like with the spray). I like being in control of the amount applied, and I don't like aerosol products in general. The bottles will cost $20-30, but I imagine they will last FOREVER. OK, that was exaggeration. I can say I've been using them daily for a month %26amp; can't even tell the product has been used. The ones I tried: Oscar Blandi ($22, my fave, smells lemony---some people hate the smell. It is strong sniffing from the bottle, but with the small amount applied, the scent isn't really noticeable on my head), Klorane (bought on ebay for $12, store price around $20, works great, but no real smell so not my favorite), Stila hair refresher Creme blossom scent ($29, from Zappos but many of the usual places carry it, I got this one because it got rave reviews for the scent. It smells like a sugar cookie with a hint of floral, sort of like a nice hand lotion, works well also). I should mention that my younger sister has used baby powder in a pinch. I assume it would have to be a non-talc one. Most baby powders are corn starch anyway, which is one of the main ingredients in the dry shampoo, so maybe that's an option.

Hope this helps. I have told ALL my girlfriends about dry shampoo---Where has it been all my life??!!

PS--If you wear a showercap, you can still shower without worrying about getting your hair wet.Best DRY SHAMPOO you have used?
TIGI's Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo. It smells fantastic and works great. The only problem is I can't find it in stores. It is sold at some salons, but I get it online.

Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry Damaged Hair?

I recently got about 6 inches cut off my hair, and it feels great and looks so healthy and I want to keep it this way.. the problem is... I have very thick curly hair and since i hate it i straighten it all the time, therefore leading to damaged, dry hair with split ends...I really want to take better care of my hair and don't care the cost i just want a really great shampoo and conditioner to keep my hair strong, healthy, soft and shiny. Serious answers only! Thanks!Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry Damaged Hair?
I have thick curly hair, too.

I almost never straighten my hair though.

I like Joico Moisture Renewal for dry hair.

Don't shampoo daily or straighten daily, both

    can do damage. Condition every time you ';wash';

your hair. Don't use shampoo every time, you only

really need to shampoo daily if your hair is fine, limp,

or oily. If not shampooing 3 times weekly is okay, and

using conditioner every time your hair's wet is good.

Use a deep conditioner twice a week.

Leave-in conditioner like Joico Moisture Renewal moisturizer

can protect from heat damage and keep your hair soft.Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry Damaged Hair?
I straighten mine alllll the time 2. Like, everytime I get out of the shower. I would suggest either Garnier, I loveeee Garnier, or Herbal Essence, Lovvvveee that 2. And, When you straighten your hair, if you don't wanna damage it, just use Heat Defense Conditioning Spray by VO5. :) Hope I helped and good luck:)
    pantene smooth shampoo %26amp; conditioner

    Joico KPAK Reconstruct.

Get all the shampoo and the conditioner, and the deep penetrating hydrator. There is one that looks the same as the deep penetrating hydrator, because it is in the same kind of tube, but open them up and get the one that is thicker, and smells like oatmeal. You can get it at 'Trade Secrets' or any professional salon.

It's not cheap, but it's totally worth it. I bought it two days ago and I used it last night.

    My hair is already soft.

    :)
Aussie shampoo and conditioner, you can find it at any drug store.

    Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioners
Well, of all those mentioned, the best one is definetely pantene.

Ojon is the best hair line out there. I have used the products for 3 months and my hair is growing so much faster and healthier.

The products I use are the Ultra Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner for regular washings and the Restorative Hair Treatment for deep conditioning.

These products, especially the Restorative Hair Treatment contain Ojon oil which instantly hydrates and improves the condition of damaged, color-treated or processed hair without weighing it down. Fortifying, rebuilding and nourishing, it leaves hair extraordinarily shiny, silky and manageable.

Even better news, you can get samples of these products from Sephora for free so you can try it out. You will be so impressed with the feel and shine of your hair.

    Good luck
    john frieda products!
In my opinion the best shampoo and conditioner for damaged and dry hair would be Infusium 42.
Fructis in the green bottle helps that stuff well. I use to have damaged hair and that fixed it up in 2 days.
I use Arbonne's Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and it works amazing for my dry scalp! Check it out at www.kimrichard.myarbonne.com
One of the best products out there for dry/damaged hair is the little conditioner that comes with hair color: these are available now to buy without having to get the entire hair color kit! try clairol natural instincts.

Also, try Terax Crema Conditioner (italian company).

Terax has an amazing line of products and they are incredibly gentle if you have sensitive skin. I have only been able to find the products online in the states.

    good luck.
I think Pantene is best too.....but U should also use natural products ...like oil it regularly...massage it so it will make it healthy from roots !

    Take care.
dove...the first answerer said ';head over heels'; hehe but i think she meant ';head and shoulders';!!!. but really dove is amazing, and it smells delicious!
Paul Mitchell works great but its a bit expensive. Your best bet is to get regular hair cuts and stay away from blow dryers , curling irons and strengtheners
i know you've tried panteen, but panteen pro-v ice shine is so much better! it's what i use and i'll swear by it!

when you're washing it concentrate on your roots and not your ends. wash it a couple times then You can wash it only like 2 times a week thats all I do. You might want to think of getting highlights if your hair is really oily it does dry it out a little bit.

Oh yeah also if you wash your hair with tide laundry soap. Like the liquid then it works good. Only if you dont have color treated hair. I had this girl mess up my hair and I had to use tide to get the color out. Thats how I realized that its a very drying soap. What is the best shampoo for oily hair? I see shampoo for normal, dry, but never for oily.?
Actually, shampoo is shampoo. I don't go in for all the different labels. I have very oily hair. I shower in the morning and my hair does fine all day. If I lay down and take a nap....for whatever reason.....it then like to mess up bad.
For oily hair the best thing is to wash your hair every day.

If you shower every day than just wash your hair at the same

time. Actually the best shampoo is any mild shampoo that

does not have conditioner in it. You don't need the expensive kind.

I have oily hair (short, bottle red-blond)), wash it every day.

especially in the summer. I use vinegar mixed with warm water

to rinse my hair. Gets all the grease and stuff from other hair

products (mousse, hairspray ets.) out and gives a great shine.

Take him to a vet and get him checked over, his anal glands may need emptying, that is the most common reason for a smelly dog! Use a conditioning shampoo and start giving him cod liver oil capsules every day. Feed him sardines in oil twice a week.

I have wavy, dry, thin and broken hair any shampoo suggestions?

I straighten my hair 2-3 times a week, and the rest of the days I leave curly with some product. tresemmeI have wavy, dry, thin and broken hair any shampoo suggestions?
I totally recommend Kerastase shampoos and conditioners. You can get them at most quality salons and the right ones will help repair your hair.
I had the same problem, but i had gotten a slight perm for waves a year or so ago. But anyway, if you go to walmart in the shampoo and conditioner section they'll have name brands such as Pantene and whatnot. Just becuase they're name brands doesn't mean they're good. The walmart brand works AMAZINGLY! Make sure you get vitamin enriched, for dry damaged hair though. Also, leave the shampoo and conditioner in your hair for a while before washing it out, that will help with the dryness. Straightening works best afer you've washed your hair and it has dried becuase it's more moisturizing.
i think u should use garnier! it really helps me for my frizzy hair all day
same problem here dont know but everything u just said is all true for me
    Try Aussie Conditioner

Try Johnson %26amp; Johnson's Baby Shampoo (not Suave). There is NO soap in it. Mix conditioner in large cup of warm water to apply on washed hair (allow on hair minimum of 3 minutes), rinse.

  • Whats the best shampoo for dry and unshiney hair?

Suave has great shampoos for all types of hair. Pantene is great, but costs twice as much.

However, you need to consider the reason why your hair is dry and unshiney. Are you washing it too much or too little? Is it your diet? Are you processing your hair to death? Coloring or straightening it until the outer hair shaft coating is badly damaged?

If that's the case, then no shampoo, conditioner or shine treatment will cure it, only cutting off the damage and being kind to your regrowing hair.

If you're not processing your hair, then look to your diet and overall health. Get 8+ hours of sleep each night. Eat a healthy diet with no junk foods or sugary snacks. Take a multi-vitamin to pick up the nutrients your diet misses. Lower your stress level as best you can and get a good half hour's sweaty type exercise in each day. Your hair will respond to your better overall health as it regrows.Whats the best shampoo for dry and unshiney hair?
Moraccan/Argan oil shampoo from www.discountbeautycenter.com, I had a friend that had naturally ashy colored, dull hair and she used this stuff and her hair was like silk, she could have done a hair commercial, lol, the stuff works, if you don't have a vibrant shine and bounce naturally, it will give you oneWhats the best shampoo for dry and unshiney hair?
Depends on what kind of hair you have. But if you hair is dry and lacking shine then you definately need something with moisture. I use Abba its completely natural (unlike Aveda) and there are different lines depending on what your hair needs. Make sure you use a deep conditioner twice a month and leave it on at least for 30mins.

Of course, there are many brands that are much cheaper, but make sure you use one with natural products to keep your hair healthy. Also, you need to figure out why you hair is not moisturized. It could be that you need to change your diet, maybe you are putting too many chemicals in your hair (color, perm, relaxer etc), too much sun, chlorine from the pool, or just that you aren't taking care of it as far as washing and conditioning.

ww.folica.com has great products and reviews by customers so you know what you are getting.

Try Vive Pro Color wide selection of shampoos and conditioning treatments by Loreal. I would also recommend Vive Pro Glossy anti-frizz cream or the smooth glass serum after the shampooing since you would want a shiney softer hair..they work well together. they have an option for damaged hair and chemically treated hair. But the Condtioning treatment comes in red tube and the serum in orange label.

I'm going to shampoo now.But whenever i shampoo my hair it gets more dry. What should i do for silky hair?

there are a number of things you can do. Use a shampoo or dry hair, ease back on any and all styling products as they can dry hair out. Shampoo only every other day. Use a good quality deep conditioning product once a week. Trim ends every 2 months. Stop or cut back on using blow dryer, curling iron, straightener, etc because any heating hair appliance can also damage your hair. Never brush wet hair, always comb gently. Let your hair air dry as often as possible. wear a hat when in the sun. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and veg and drink lots of water.I'm going to shampoo now.But whenever i shampoo my hair it gets more dry. What should i do for silky hair?
Use a moisturizing shampoo. Do you condition every time after shampooing? Conditioning can actually dry out hair if done daily, the reason being it depletes the natural oils that would come from the scalp. It is like a ';fake out'; If the scalp is alI ready oiled by a conditioner then it will not produce its own.

Also, I have had very thick hair all my life. I would ;love sleek hair also, but unfortunately there really is not a lot you can do about the texture of your hair, it is what it is. I recently shortened my with a razor cut and it has left it less bushy, it lays nicely just below the ears and it feels softer. This was a dramatic change for me but once I got it to lay where it is suppose to it really looks and feels better.I'm going to shampoo now.But whenever i shampoo my hair it gets more dry. What should i do for silky hair?
You can see all the shampoo in the market are not same. If you take one complany, they are having 4 to 5 types. You please check up, it's described in the shampoo bottle itself, for dry hair, for more oily hair, shine hair, etc. Your hair is getting dry after shampoo means, first change your shampoo. Some times, big shampoo companies are giving free consultation in a particular period. you can get advise with them also is better. Take a particular compay all veriety shampoo and test it, no problem. Which ever is suiting to you, that can be regularised. take care.
You need to only shampoo every other day. Also, use a moisturizing shampoo. When you shampoo, only use a quarter size amount, focusing on your roots and scalp, opposed to the rest of your hair. Then follow up with a conditioner and leave in conditioner.

    http://www.bellevere.unsexy.net
Use contidioner...the things people dont know about conditioner is that you need to leave it in your hair for 5-10 minutes before you rinse it out. and make sure you use enough of it. if you have long hair you need to use a good 2-3 ounces. also, try not washing your hair every day, just every other day.
only use shampoo twice a week at the most. You can rinse your hair in water under the shower and use conditioner every day to keep it smooth and stop it drying out. Don't use straighteners or blow dryers EVER as they will always dry your hair out. Use a deep conditioning treatment. Good brands include Redkin, Joico and Neutrogena.

Shampoo every other day (at the most), but conditioner everyday. Also, rinse the conditioner off with cool water instead of hot/warm.

Don't Accept Dry/Damaged/Frizzy Hair. Your hair-problem is improper hair-call metabolism, which needs to be arrested from the hair-root. Good nutrition is important to have thick, full, luxurious hair with bounce, shine and proper texture. To ensure good quality hair growth and texture, the hair root needs a constant supply of oxygen and nutritional substances, which it obtains from the blood. The starved hair follicle needs to be nourished from within. The lack of proper nutrition to the hair root and follicle and unbalanced vitamin intake leads to tired hair turning them to lose strength resulting in dry/damaged/frizzy hair and subsequent hairloss. Apart from lack of nutrients, Stress also causes these problems by the constriction of capillaries which feed the hair follicle. Stress also causes excessive perspiration attracting airborne debris and pollutants, thus clogging the hair follicles, turning them weak from the roots.

Recommend you to use Professional Hair Care %26amp; Maintenance products, not the ordinary, commercial stuff available in the market. Don't use any commercial shampoos available in the market that are Surfactant based and contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate / Cocamide / Propylene Glycol / Sodium Chloride / Artificial Colouring or Pearlizing Agents. Pantene, Dove, Heads %26amp; Shoulders, Sunsilk, Fiama di wills, L'Oreal, etc.. all need to be avoided.

You need a herbal supplementation formulated from the best known herbs for healthy hair growth from roots. The rare herbs and active ingredients that help so are Fo-Ti, Stinging Nettle, Gingko Biloba, Kelp, SawPalmetto, Roobois, Silica, Rosemary, Inositol, Biotin and Horsetail.

    Suggest:

    i) Segals Hair Root Formula: For cleaning the scalp and revitalizing the root of the hair for new hair growth. It cleanses the scalp, provides it a balanced moisturizing effect to arrest hair-loss and also makes the root free of all sebum, grime, flakes and dirt thereby strengthening the root and thus encouraging hair to grow. The blood circulation in the root is considerably enhanced, laying the foundation for healthy hair growth. To be applied on the scalp every night before bed. Not sticky. Will get absorbed in the scalp on its own.

ii) Segals Advanced Hair Supplement: For stimulating hair-cell metabolism and strengthening the connective tissue. Active ingredients in the Supplement have a nutritional ability to not only grow back lost hair but also restore thin/damaged/dry/weak hair to its natural colour and strength. Contains a concentration of rare herbs like Fo-Ti, Saw-Palmetto, Kelp, Stinging Nettle, Inositol, Biotin, Horsetail and Silica, apart from other active botanical extracts, which are proven to rejuvenate the scalp and show healthy hair growth from the roots. The faster way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made; that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally..

Apart from the precautions listed above, please follow the following in general:

    1. Drink plenty of water,

    2. Avoid stressful situations; do yoga/meditation to reduce stress,

3.Have a balanced diet containing lot of fresh fruits and leafy vegetables,

4.Do not blow dry too close to the scalp,

5.Do not brush wet hair; instead use a wide-tooth comb.

Alongwith the Formulation and Hair Supplement suggested above, you need to you use Segals Damaged Hair/Dry Scalp Shampoo/Conditioner specific to arrest your problem.

Without an iota of exaggeration, it is stated that strong, healthy hair from the roots are guaranteed with consistent usage of SEGALS products and that with these products, the health of your hair is absolutely in safe hands. These are awesome products, produced by a Canadian Pharmacist-doctor and you will definitely regain the strength, volume, bounce, shine, length and texture of your existing hair back with consistent usage of these products.

Visit the source site below to see what the ingredients are and how each ingredient works to promote healthy and strong hair .....from the roots. You may even speak to them to give you a tailor-made solution specific to your problem.

There is a product called a ';self rinse.'; If you google ';dog self rinse'; or ';waterless shampoo,'; you will find some. As for cost, not too bad, the wipes are going to cost WAY more per ounce. Just rub it in and blow dry out...ta da!My white pappillon turns grey shortly after her bath. If your dog is white, you should probably get the dry bath and not just wipes. I don't think the wipes would be enough! Here are some good dry baths:

you betcha! I use Aloe and Oatmeal enriched wipes I got at petsmart on my white Dachshund. She loves them, they make her smell good, and clean any messes she might have found in her travels!

P.S. Don't worry so much about the expense, but rather what is best for your doggy....dry shampoos are ok for occasional use...you can use the wipes every day! :)
Yup. Our dog hates bathes. WHen he's dirty we wipe him down with Huggies baby wipes (they work great and the vet said they are fine to use). If you buy them in bulk they are really cheap. Also, furminator waterless shampoo is a great product, more expensive though.

If my dog has dry skin and open sores from scratching...Is it safe to use a flea shampoo on them?

I have dogs with extremly dry skin who may have fleas. They have had it for a while to where they have raw skin. Is it safe for me to give them a bath in flea shampoo with raw spots on there skin?If my dog has dry skin and open sores from scratching...Is it safe to use a flea shampoo on them?
You would do better to give them a bath with Dawn dish soap, or Ivory bar soap. It will kill the fleas, if you leave it on for just a few minutes, and then brush them will as they dry..flea shampoos are quite toxic, and too much might be absorbed with really sore skin.. then use one of the spot-on flea preventatives from the vet's clinic to make sure fleas don't come back, such as Revolution (my favorite) or Frontline, or Advanix...Many vets give the first treatment of Advantix or Revolution for free, so it would be wise to call around and see if your vets do...Both clinics in my town do, and my friend in another state told me her vet gave the first Revolution free..If my dog has dry skin and open sores from scratching...Is it safe to use a flea shampoo on them?
BABIBLUE1617 has any of this info helped with your pets? Is it safe to use Neosporin or such on animals that may be able to lick it off? My dog has the same problem, and I want to put something on the sore, but not sure what to use. Report Abuse

no...not until the spots heal...if you must give them a bath just use plain dawn dish detergent the unscented kind. but i reccomend waiting until the sores have healed. while waiting look for an oatmeal based flea shampoo (i got one from my vet called ecto x3) this will help with thier dry skin. if they have fleas get a flea treatment that you put b/n thier shoulder blades (it spreads through the oils in thier skins) i recommend frontline or advantage. but you can buy cheaper stuff at wal-mart. but stay away from hartz....most of my animals have allergic reactions to thier products.
i would say no those chemicals can be pretty toxic even if left on healthy skin to long, i would go to your vet and get a spot on treetment like advantage or front line. definatly get the stuff from your vet rather than the generic from a pet store, the generic stuff doesnt work nearly as well and some of them can really hurt your dog
Well, it's ';safe'; in the sense that it won't make your dog sick. Assuming you rinse very well. I'd avoid putting any strong (organophosphate) dips directly on bleeding sores. But just the shampoo might irritate the sores and slow the healing slightly, at worst. Maybe you have some cortisone cream you can apply afterwards to really dry spots. You can put regular 1% hydrocortisone on small areas if they don't just lick it right off. I think you could just avoid rubbing the shampoo much around the raw parts and it'd be fine.

Hotspots on the skin are treated by scrubbing them pretty hard with antiseptic soap and it is actually good for them to get them clean - with the flea shampoo you just want to avoid getting a lot of insecticide on a sore and letting it sit for a long time because it'd be irritating. If I were you I'd wash the dogs with a gentle soap first if they are dirty, and then dilute some flea shampoo in water, soak them in it without rubbing (long enough for fleas to be killed) and then rinse very well.

If the fleas are really bad, always apply flea shampoo around the neck before washing the rest of the dog (otherwise fleas all run to the face where they are hard to kill).
It shouldn't hurt them. But on another note, I've never seen a flea shampoo that really worked well. Try using Advantage or something similar from your vet. Flea dip would be a good second choice but I'm not sure about putting on open sores. Good Luck!
The best advise would come from your vet at this time. Your dog probably has a secondary infection by now (staph) and should be treated internally and externally for that before you use anything other than the once a month prescribed by your vet. After your pet is healed up you might use Dawn detergent (which only knocks the fleas out) then use a Q-tip with alcohol or tweezers to pick them off and put them in a small jar of alcohol with a lid so that it can be disposed of properly with out them waking up and jumping on everyone.

Some triple anti-biotic like neosporin is good to put on the sores while being treated internally.

You might also put a flea collar in your vaccum bag, vaccum everything and dispose of the bag. This will help rid your house of any that are hanging out.

    Good luck!
Most shampoos, for fleas, will warn on the label to not use in the case of open wounds on the skin. This could introduce the insecticide into the bloodstream and cause your dog some harm. Have you seen fleas? One flea bite can give a dog a really big reaction. This one may be best answered by your vet.
Call your vet once again he can prescribe your pets w/a pill of Capstar which is a pill that works on getting rid of fleas in 30 minutes. w/in 4 hrs 90% of fleas are gone. Once thats accomplished then try using Frontline or Program. Program is an injectable once every 6 months flea protection. Its the birth control pill for fleas. Dont use to many differant flea agents for this could be toxic. Good luck and talk to your vet. since the dogs have a flea infestation you might want to stool samples into your vet to check for worms. Also make sure there are no ear mites. You might have more then one problem here and would be best to advise w/your vet. Frontline can be bought online or pet stores. You dont need to get it from the vet. Try www.valleyvet.com
i don't know about the flea question but try calamine lotion for the dry skin
Sounds more like they have the mange, you should consult a vetrinarian. They do however make a flea shampoo for dogs with sensitive skin that is made from oatmeal. You can buy it at walmarts or your local farm supply store or pet supply store
I'm no vet but i give my dogs a bath with a mild antibacterial soap scrub the sores kinda really good i wouldn't use any flea shampoo they are a waste of money use advantage from the vet is is the best ever and works fast and for a good while kills fleas everywhere the dog lays i have five dogs we live in country and they love the grass and weeds no fleas or ticks at all this year i swear by the stuff
You say you have dogs with the same problem, not just one of them??Correct? This alerts me to a possible problem that may not be ';dry skin'; or ';fleas'; alone. Since they all are having the problem. Certainly if one dog has fleas then they all probably do and it' definately been fleas season. I assume you have checked the coats carefully for fleas and flea eggs(look like black pepper).

Is ';raw skin'; red and inflammed, even puss. Are they chewing themselves constantly? Are bare areas spreading?

I am cautioning you to take at least the worse one to your vet to make sure this is not a mange or contagious skin condition!!! Or vitamen or food related allergy. We often are quick to blame any scratching and chewing on fleas and other serious conditions may be cause. A secondary infection can set up in the skin also.

I would caution against any shampooing until you know more. If skin is raw and dry that is not always typical of fleas although they may have fleas too. Adams fleas shampoo is one of best. They also make a fogger/spray to use on carpet, bedding that really works. Then use the tea tree/aloevera spray for irritated areas to heal those. That is best routine if fleas are bad. But I do urge a vet visit to make sure.

Best of luck with your furbabies.
They would burn there skin. get medicated shampoo. there spray for skin irr.
No it isn't. Take him to the vet to address the fleas and more importantly his dry itchy skin. Those sores would absorb the chemicals from the shampoo. And even without the shampoo he needs to see the vet about his dry itchy skin because those sores could get infected.
Try washing your dogs with a baby shampoo first to try and help the skin a little. Never use flea shampoo on a dog that has open scratches or raw areas! This can make it worse and cause your dogs to bite themselves bloody. If that doesn't work try to use flea medicine on them for awhile before the flea bath to lessen the population first.
flea shampoo wont help much go to the vet and ask for revoloution or advantage flea drops, they are in tiny tubes, each dog should get a tube of it each month applied to the back of their necks, it will kill all their fleas and all the fleas in the carpet too. then deal with healing the sores with something like mycatracin which you can get at the drug store which is a topical antibiotic for cuts and such in humans.

i like the olive oil shampoo and conditioners . you can find them at walgreens for like 6 bucks or so
None. Shampoo is horrible for your hair and should not be used unless it's an emergency.

    TRESemme ooh la la.

buy TRESemme moisture rich shampoo and conditioner with keratin.

They also have a deep conditioner that is called Quench and a leave in conditioner called re-store.These products are very affordable.

If you have sally beauty supply where you live, you can buy a conditioner called Last call.It is really good, they also have a shampoo. Its about $9.00 each.
i think you need more than a shampoo to solve your problem. maybe you can consider a regular hair care regime? I used to have very dry hair that falls out by clumps when i shampoo. I go to trichokare at wheelock place. they use herbal hair remedies that helped to strengthen my hair. Now the hair loss problem is under control. You might want to check it out yourself.

Suave essentials. It moisturizes and adds volume and body. Try it and let me know.
I had the same issue until I use Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner.

Plus, shampooing everyday is a big no-no. do it every other day or 3 times a week.
I would say treseme works for me i had the same problem also get the conditioner it works grate . Get the one for dry hair.
Hair falling is very common in life. But you can prevent it by mixing awala and shikakai with ur favourate shampoo.Take 1 tea spoon awala and 1 tea spoon shikakai powder and put 2 cup water. 2 hours later mix ur favourite shampoo in this mixture and apply it on ur hair.Do it thrice in a week. After 10-12 weeks u will see that ur hair is not falling.

I love it!

Make sure you watch their video on the site, its amazing. Lady changes her hair color 3 times in 30 minutes with NO DAMAGE
well, this happened to me, and really, it was no picnic. Try a little selsun(?) blue and wait it out. Also, see a dermatoloigist if you're concerned that its that serious.
You have dandruff problem, use good 'Anti Dandruff Shampoo' this should help you.
This may sound real stupid...but before you wash your hair brush it so there are no nasty tangles...then..

wet your hair and smooth conditioner over the top of your head (so it's a little soft)..

then rinse it out...(your hair should no be a little softer and less harsh to wash)

    wash your hair as normal..

then repeat with a tad of conditioner (again)..don't apply to roots this time..and rinse out throughly to ensure your hair doesn't end up looking greasy)..

after you've done all that towel dry a little (trying not to tangle your hair too much)...get a wide toothed comb (wide toothed combes are better for wet hair than normal brushes..they don't tear the hair and less hair should come out).. brush through starting at the bottom...

then blow dry or style as normal.

    hope this helped =]
    This is what I did.

Once a month (during winter months), I fill bathtub and put in 1 good squirt of baby oil. Not only do I make sure my entire body was saturated but occassionally I would totally soak hair %26amp; scalp in that, too. Wash hair %26amp; conditioner (make sure conditioner is on hair long enough to do some good - - too many people rinse it out too fast); pat dry body.

As for the shampoo: I have had very little hair problem after I switched to Johnson %26amp; Johnson Baby Shampoo (it does not contain actual soap) and no Suave did not work the same.
Aussie brand products, especially the 3-minute miracle.
Dump the shampoo, and use bar soap....just lather it up in your hands, than apply the soap to your hair.
How often do you wash your hair? It sounds like you are washing it too much because shampoo strips your hair of moisture. When you use conditioner, you add back some moisture.

You may want to try a better quality shampoo and wash less frequently. (I wash my hair every other day. My hair is less dry as a result. It's hard to do but I don't have a choice.)

You could consult with a stylist for a solution for your hair situation. They are the experts. You may need to consult more than one.

Does shampoo or conditioner dry hair out?

is one morre drying than the other?Does shampoo or conditioner dry hair out?
Shampoo. The conditioner adds more body and softness~Does shampoo or conditioner dry hair out?
No, good brands of shampoo wont dry it out it will actually make it more healthy and strong hair. Also Conditioner is ment to make your hair sleek and shiny in other words... no lol
if you have dry hair, your best bet is to get the ones labelled, damaged hair formulas, or extra moisture ones.

Yes, these things do damage hair. The dove daily moisture shampoos and conditioners are great.
Shampooing your hair too much can dry it out. Conditioner is always good to do, you should do that every day or every other day..depending on how much you wash and style your hair. I'd say shampoo drys hair out a lot more, and you should only shampoo your hair twice or three times a week.
shampoo is more drying that conditioner.

Also, if you wash your hair too much, that can make it really dry and flaky.
Yup! Shampoo drys your hair A LOT because it washes off all the natural oils from your head. Conditioner prevents it from being so dry. That's why when you put on conditioner your head gets oily faster because conditioner is oily for that matter and that's why your hair gets soft and untangled.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use, I have dry brittle hair.?

also colored. What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use, I have dry brittle hair.?
my hair has been dry and unhealthy ever since i permed it. i finally gave in to frederic fekkai even though it's expensive. but i guess it really is worth what it costs, at least i can feel my hair is smoother and has more shine after only two weeks. it's called technician color care. my friend uses the hair butter and she said it works magic too, but you really have to be consistent and follow the instructions.

i heard redken works well too. What is the best shampoo and conditioner to use, I have dry brittle hair.?
Try Pert. I'm going back to it. when I had my hair longer, I tried Pantene. It only made it even drier %26amp; frizzier.
USE PANTENE PRO-V AND USE LEAVING IN AND DAILY CONDITONERS TO HELP KEEP YOUR HAIR MOISTURIZE TO NURSE YOUR HAIR BACK TO HEALTH AND TRY A DEEP CONTIONING CONDITIONER ONCE A WEEK
pantene proV with conditioner for colored hair...that's what I use
I use salon hair products because the ones in the store just don't do it for me.
dove moisurizing is great for both shampoo and conditioner. If you have highlights/blond hair, you can get Clarol shimmer and light shampoo and conditioner from a beauty supply store. This stuff is dark purple but it will make your hair look great!!! It keeps the brassiness out and gives your hair moisture and shine!!!
Pantene has paraffin wax in it, which becomes brittle and can break your hair over time. Products with animal proteins (like collagen or keratin) can also build up and become brittle. So make sure that your checking your ingredients.

My best suggestion would be to try Biolage Color Care shampoo and conditioner. Its gentle, and adds strength and moisture using VEGETABLE proteins (like wheat and soy). Make sure that when you wash, you only wash once, and only when you have to, using WARM not hot water. Rinse WELL!

Blot your hair dry, apply your styling products while you hair is still wet, and try to avoid using a lot of products with alcohol in them. When you're drying with a blow dryer, use the medium setting, and don't dry it until its completely dry, just until your style is set.

As a deep treatment once a week, I would also try Redken Heavy Cream. Its safe for color-treated hair, and it adds a LOT of moisture (and lots of shine!). Leave it on for 20 minutes, and wrap a warm towel around your hair, to help open the shaft and let the product penetrate.

Be sure to give your hair and skin a little vacation from make-up and products every once in a while, too. :D Good Luck!
I like Awapuhi Shampoo by Paul Mitchel %26amp; for really dry hair I like to use Conditioning Balm by Biolage.
    Tresemme works wonders.
    Biolage
Pantene, i really like Garnier because a little goes along way, it smells great, and works!
Terax Miele Shamp. Or Terax Collagen Shamp. And then...believe it or not...Citre Shine Conditioner for Dry hair.
fructis for fine hair. for some reason this specific line of fructis works better than all the others. trust me...your hair can't be more dry than my curly fro and this stuff works great on me.
I agree with Lions post...Tresemme is the best by far for me. My hair is thick, slightly wavy and frizz prone. I use Tresemme Anti-Breakage shampoo along with the colour revitalize conditioner. Also before I blow dry or flat iron my hair I use their Instant Heat Tamer spray. Now my hair is soft, silky and shiny...and no frizz!

Is a moisturizing shampoo less liekly to dry out my hair?

The best is a new brand just coming out called Organix. Its got organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it won't dry out your hair. All the different fragrances are awesome!

    duhhhhh
hey there! im not a hair expert but i can tell ya what worked for me!! my hair had always seemed to be dry and unmanagable.. i always thought that i would never have ';ggod'; hair or hair like other people.. i just kept tryin new shampoos and conditioners.. and i finally tried herbal essence.. the one in the pink bottle with a rose on it.. it worked alright for a long time.. then the new herbal essence came out.. its in the blue bottle.. its for moisturizing and its AWESOME!!! ive been through about 4 bottles o shampoo and conditioner and i finally have hair that looks like its from a salon!!! i dont know if you know much about hair products.. but i was always taught that when in the shower you wash your hair, put on conditioner, leave it on while you wash your body, shave and anything else, then rinse out the conditioner with cool water... the cool water helps the shine ive heard... but give it a try.. its pretty INexpensive and i got it at wal mart so its easy to get a hold of!!! good luck!! if you have any ?s you can email me!!
I use Frederic Fekkai's products and am happy with them, information and review are at: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio鈥?/a>
The new brand Organix is sulfate free, so it won't dry out your hair. It smells incredible.

There is also Redken Extreme, they have leave in treatments in that line that work wonders.
Don't shampoo too often. That will help but you have to try Mixed Chicks deep conditioner (www.mixedchicks.net). It works for curly or straight hair.
hello hydration from herbal essence.. feel the hydration.
    hello hydration herbal essences

    it smells amazing too :)

    or you could do this.

take a heavy conditioner... or just your normal one.

put it in a shot glass, and heat it up in the microwave. mine takes 10 seconds but everyone has different microwaves.

now put it on your head. ahd put you hair in a shower cap... or if you dont have that than use a plastic bag... but make sure NO air gets in

leave it on for 30 minutes, than rinse it out. use cold water though!

you could also put olive oil on your dry parts, than rinse it out after an hour.
i use hello hydration from herbal essents. i love it.

it works way good, you can get it anywhere almost.

    answer my question ?

    Garnier Shampoo and Conditioner
Use Pantene Pro-V daily moisture renewal shampoo and conditioner. Apply and rinse the shampoo as normal, but leave the conditioner on for a couple minutes to let it soak in, and then rinse. Also, once a week, I use Pantene Pro-V Moisturizing Essential Hydrating Rinse. Leave that on for a few minutes as well. It completely changes the moisture of your hair. It's softer and the split ends go away. You can buy big bottles of these at Sam's club, which is a really good deal.
i use bath and body works products

my hair is really smooth and shiny...

    it smells really good too
    dove
You cant really repair the damaged hair. So you will have to chop them off. To avoid any further damage, switch your shampoo to Loreals liss extreme or intense repair. Trust me it works wonders. Also go in for a deep conditioning treatment once a week. And you will see the effect. You will practically fall in love with ur hair after that.

    Does Batiste dry shampoo work?

Im sick of washing my hair everyday it gets greasy so quick and washing and straightening it everyday is killing it.

does it work and what scent is nicer?

thanks (:Does Batiste dry shampoo work?
My friends swear by it, but i dont like it,

it turns your hair grey, and the smell just reminds me of having dirty hair now!

and i dont feel any cleaner. what i do now its wear my hair up for a few days so i dont have to starighten it so much and my hair has improved soo much, xDoes Batiste dry shampoo work?
Yea it great i love it! x
Yes it does. That's what it was made for. So whenever your hair feels greasy, just spray an even amount on. The scent is very nice too. It smell fresh and clean and not overpowering.
    i like the regular one!

    smells nice and does work!

    however....

if you use it you will defo need to wash your hair the next day otherwise it will itch like mad!

but its fab and cheap for a quick fix!

i can only ever find it in boots tho!

    x x
    yes it wrks
    Yeah - it's amazing!

Essential for festivals but also really good to refresh your roots if you don't have time to wash it.

Just spray on dry hair from about 20cm then brush through til gone. Voila!

I like the tropical one - makes my hair smell like coconuts.

I've tried expensive dry shampoo too but none comparte to batiste. God, it sounds like I work for them! :)
Yes it works, I like regular one, its a nice clean smell, but the yellow one is good too.

You should also get Osis+ Dust it... put it in after your hair is dry you probably wont even need the Batiste. I like dust it better, but I use both =) also, buy dust it on ebay instead of salon, you can get it for like $8 on ebay, but its $15 in salon
I think you should just continue washing your hair everyday. I think you would regret not washing it after a while, especially since it will probably smell which is no fun.

What do you think about dry shampoo's?

i'm thinking about getting a bottle of dry shampoo for school, what do you think about dry shampoo's? do they work good? What do you think about dry shampoo's?

I have told ALL my girlfriends about dry shampoo---Where has it been all my life??!!What do you think about dry shampoo's?
i haven't tried them...i'm having the hardest time finding them in drugstores? but i, too, would like to get a bottle or two for my first year in college. i have a feeling i will be rolling out of bed ten minutes before class a lot and not having time to shower lol
No they dont its like talcumm powder that you put in your hair and brush out when i had some it dident work so i just had a shower instead :) x hope i helped
well its good for school if your in a rush but if you arent just take a frsh 5 min shower or 10 mins

I have the same problem, and I use Tresemme Moisturizing. They also have a condition that is in a white bottle, with a red cap, and it is a repair or recovery conditioner, and it makes my hair feel like it has more moisture. It keeps it from getting super dry. Plus, the bottles are HUGE and last like a month, and cost about $3.00.I need a good shampoo for very dry hair?

Suggest a good shampoo for dry thin damaged and relaxed hair?

my hair takes more than half of my getting-ready time even though i usually tie it up in a bun or a ponytail.still its a major cause of concern and usually leads to frustration.i have been on medicated shampoos for too long to know any good moisturising shampoos.what im looking for is a shampoo that will add body and moisture to my lifeless hair.Suggest a good shampoo for dry thin damaged and relaxed hair?
Garnier Fructis products work really well, or anything by the Loreal brand for that matter. I would recommend the 'Dry or damaged, fortifying shampoo.' It is a great product and helped me with the same problem you are refering too!Suggest a good shampoo for dry thin damaged and relaxed hair?
yea bioinfusion is good for all types. my hair is extra shiny healthy and beautiful!!!!!!!! :)
Motions or Pantene Relaxed and Natural.
I had dry thin boring hair untiil I got the pink kind of SunSilk shampoo and conditioner for tottaly put together hair.
I personally like Creme of Nature's shampoo. There is this media forum online where they give advice and what not about hair. They talk about dry, relaxed, breakage of hair you can get a lot of information from it. Just click on the link. http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/
I make my own shampoo! It's really easy and makes your hair really silky. It's amazing. All it is is peanut butter (to add texture), some regular shampoo (i prefer garnier fructis), lemon juice (to add color), and some vanilla yogurt (for great smell and more texture).

I have really thin hair and this works on me. Ever since my stylist told me to try it i've been using it and my hair has been thick and lucious. =]] I hope it helps.
The ponytail ties may be breaking your hair. Make sure you are buying the ones without the metal things on them.

I like to use Burt's Bees. The less chemicals the better.
Any shampoo that is a volumizer....will say so on the bottle
Nioxin shampoo is amazing, it even makes your hair grow faster.
I am a fan of garnier. They have a deep-conditioner that is lovely. Try getting volume through a mouse, and stick to maybe bed-head mouisure manic shampoo %26amp; conditioner to make your hair more healthy. And try a shine serum or a texturizer.
I have been using Paul Mitchell's hair products and am very satisfied with the results. He offers a vast array of products to meet the needs of your hair. For your problem, I suggest you use ';Super Skinny Serum'; which adds shine, moisture and body.

Dry scalp and flakes, what shampoo should i use?

I think my scalp is dry so it tends to get really itchy at time (don't worry it's not lice!) so i get a lot of head flakes which is really annoying especially when i wear dark clothes. head and shoulders don't work for me so what hair product should i use?Dry scalp and flakes, what shampoo should i use?
okay, i recently found the best way to get rid of dandruff:

    check out

    http://www.hairoil.com/

Oil in your hair is a great way to keep moisture and nutrients in your hair, but you don't need to order some from this website: coconut oil mixed with olive oil is PERFECT. Massage your scalp with this combo, leave it in for about half an hour (tie up your hair loosely so its not in your face), then wash your hair with head and shoulders.

Then, wash your hair the next day, even if you normal wait a day before washing it again. But make sure you use a shampoo and condionter set that contains tea tree oil (like nature's gate tea tree oil shampoo and condionter for dry, dandruff hair, found at wholefoods or http://www.natures-gate.com/) and massage your scalp with that.

When you come out of the shower, it will be a NOTICEABLE difference and you will LOVE it! and all of this is a natural way to make your hair nicer, shinier, less itchy, and no dandruff! (you can always use a leave-in conditonter after you wash your hair, like garnier fructis sleek and shine finish or sunsilk has a large variety to make your hair smell better after the tea tree)Dry scalp and flakes, what shampoo should i use?
Any shampoo that says for dry hair.. and specially you want one for dandruff. maybe try a different style of head and shoulders.
mane %26amp; tail or bedhead are both really good products.

    I recommend using a conditioner that either says ';frizz-control'; or ';moisture.'; After you towel dry your hair, add a small amount of serum; like Garnier Frutis Sleek and Shine. Or some hair cream that says ';leave-in conditioner.';

If you want to save money, buy store brand products like Pantene, Garnier, Herbal Essences, etc.

If you use a good shampoo it will clean your hair , If you use a not so good of shampoo it will build up, for me I switch from one type to another then I use a Paul M . to put bounce in it , go the salon you know like a Sally's or what you have in your area , look and see they can help you there .
you would need a moisture shampoo also depending on if your looking for texture, volume , smoothness all those should be listed on the bottle your looking for but make sure it is a moisturizing shampoo and a little conditioner and leave in conditioner should help depending on the amount of dryness
    Pantene Pro V

Does Dry Shampoo actually work ?

I have seen avertised dry shampoo and i was wondering does it really work imbertween washes?

Please HelpDoes Dry Shampoo actually work ?
    Yes, it works.

It works by soaking up the oil from your hair. It's not a long term solution to not washing your hair though, and it does need to be washed out as hair will begin to look limp after a while if you use it day after day :)

A cheaper alternative is Talcum Powder - Dry Shampoo is essentially Talc! If you sprinkle some talc on your roots and make sure you rub it all in, it works in exactly the same way for a fraction of the price!

I used to use dry shampoo all the time because I didn't have the time to wash my hair every day, but now all I need is a bit of talc and I'm ready to go! :)Does Dry Shampoo actually work ?
ive heard it works from my friends.

you should try it anyway, like maybe on a weekend to test it out, but im sure it works.

good shampoo and conditioner or product for naturally dry and prone to split end hair.Even after i get haircuts i still have split ends, what shampoo collection will help my dry, split end hair?
You should reinforce the hair with a protein conditioner to prevent the freshly cut ends from splitting. I really like Redken Extreme Moisture shampoo and conditioner. They also have a leave in treatment called Anti Snap that will help make your hair stronger. I love it.Even after i get haircuts i still have split ends, what shampoo collection will help my dry, split end hair?
for one, do you straighten your hair?

if you do you need a heat protection.

if you don't you need a super duper conditioner.
idk for the shampoo but just get a trim just to get rid of them and it will let your hair look nicer. Try to brush it more gently and that may help.

    Hope I Helped!

No, you ';sound'; quiet to me. Anyway just like in the early 70's ';Pssst'; was a dry shampoo that took off like a hippo with wings. I guess nothing is a refreshing (and invigorating) as a dunk in ';water'; or a shower with one. That is why these dry shampoos are only good to tie one over till the person can have the real thing, a hair washing with soap and water.

Dry shampoos are what you spray into your hair and it is suppose to ';lift'; the impurities out so that they can be brushed away.

Sounds yuchie to me! Another chemical to be washed out!

My daughter straightens her hair every day, what is the best shampoo, conditioner etc. for dry and split ends?

My daughter straightens her hair every morning. Even though we get it cut regularly she still has split ends all the way up.. I have tried different kinds of shampoos and conditioners and conditioning treatments and yet her hair still gets frizzy by days end. What is the best stuff out there for the frizz and split ends???My daughter straightens her hair every day, what is the best shampoo, conditioner etc. for dry and split ends?
An avocado hair mask is the best treatment in the world for this condition. Here is an awesome YouTube video on how to make a great avocado hair mask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0kvwQYHZYQMy daughter straightens her hair every day, what is the best shampoo, conditioner etc. for dry and split ends?
Weeell, this is just my personal opinion, since I have thick, curly hair and straighten it often.

The best thing to do with split ends is to, as the other said, get regular trims. And honestly, her hair will be damaged overtime if she straightens it everyday. It could help if she uses a straightening balm, or smoothing milk. Maybe a shining product or thermal spritz, it helps protect against the heat of the hair dryer or flat iron. MAKE SURE her hair is completely dry before using the iron, unless she has a Wet 2 Straight (what I have) or ionic iron. Hope I helped!
the ONLY thing for split ends is regular trims to get them cut off. if not they will just keep splitting up the shaft until all the hair is damaged and not just the ends

on top of regular trims, about every 7-9 weeks, i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair, it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month, after the first month of use. e is cheap and its great stuff. biotin vitamins are cheap and i take those daily, i also use biotin shampoo which i purchase at an online vitamin store, its all cheap and great stuff.

Oh dear it sounds like your daughter has damaged her hair by straightening too much, heat is so bad for hair. The best advice I can give is to give her hair a break and stop straightening it but in reality i know when you get used to straightening your hair it makes you feel less confident when you don't do it.

Different people get on better with different brands of shampoo and conditioner so try a few out and see what works best, make sure she always uses one for dry/damaged hair.

Never ever ever let hair straighten her hair without using heat protection spray first, this is so important especially as she straightens every morning, heat protection spray acts in the same way as sun protection does, it doesn't stop the damage heat does but it adds protection so damage isn't as bad.

    Hope this helps.
Your daughters hair is frizzy and damaged due to the heat of straigtening it daily. No amount of conditioner is going to repair the damage. Your daughter needs to first stop straightening her her daily. Next she needs to deep condition her hair every time she washes it to preserve her hair. Her hair may need to be cut eventually, but try the conditioning treatments until she is ready to cut off the damaged hair. Also she needs to limit her heat usage and apply a heat protectant spray or serum to her hair before using the flat iron.

I don't know what hair type your daughter has or I could be more specific about the products she should use. I would need more info to answer this question more accurately.
Try something from Herbal Essences, you can go on their website and try using the product selector, from what I hear they have good products for spilt ends
