With a dry scalp, you might not want to wash your hair everyday. Unless it's absolutely necessary, you can get away with washing your hair every other day. This will help to keep your scalp from becoming too dry. It's also important to use a pure water based shampoo and conditioner that will deeply condition not only your hair but also provide the most beneficial ingredients for a healthy scalp. Arbonne has a great self adjusting daily shampoo and conditioner are formulated with natural tree oil. Native to Australia, tea tree oil is known as “The wonder from down under.” :-) This natural, super-potent oil treats dry, flaky scalp, so that both the head and hair are left nourished, and flake-free. It's botanically based without alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, and mineral oil formulated with key ingredients including nanospheres, nettle, hops, sage and thyme extracts, vitamins A, C, E. yes my youngest has psoriasis and gets nasty scabby looking chunks on his scalp.I've tried everything. The only thing I've found that works is:DERMAREST psoriasis shampoo bought at Walmart. It's kinda expensive, but,It works very good.He used it everyday for a week and the scabs went away. Now he uses it once a week.
my mother in law uses polytar shampoo cos she suffers from that .. she said it really helps.so y not give that a try
Polytar is the best for eczema and psoriasis. It is cheaper than Neutrogena T-Gel and you get more of it. It is sold in most chemists.
head and shoulders. use selsum blue too but the smell of the sulfur in the shampoo will stay for a few days.
A dermatologist says a coconut shampoo is good for troubled scalps.

Sorry, I don't remember the name of it.

Ask your pharmacy they might be able to help.
I have the same problems with an itchy scalp, and the only shampoo that i ever use and have never had any problems with is any childrens shampoo. I use the loreal kids range, because the are mild and gentle for childrens heads i find that it is much better for me. plus they come in a range of smells that certainly get people talking, especially being a guy and smelling of strawberry or cherry. hehehehe! I also find that rather than rubbing the hair dry, just pat it dry enough to get the excess water off and then let it dry naturally, then cool dry with a hairdryer as that used to irritate my skin if it was too hot.
try using aloe vera first, if it doesnt work go to a salon, ask for a hot oil. and actually some salons have treatments for this sort of thing.
Neutrogena T Gel
