I just got a german shepard puppy and need a good shampoo that wont dry the dogs skin out. Can anyone help?

Kids are starving to death and you care about a freaking dog shampoo!I just got a german shepard puppy and need a good shampoo that wont dry the dogs skin out. Can anyone help?
A good quality shampoo such as from the Plush Puppy or Animal House Range. These all rinse out really well and don't strip the natural oils out of the coat like harsher chemical based shampoos

General rule of thumb don't bathe your dog too often as this will strip the coat of its natural oils, dogs often get dry flaky skin when the shampoo hasn't been rinsed out of the coat properly.

Your pup shouldn't need bathed very often (if it is short coated) remember that brushing the coat daily helps remove dirt and debris thus keeping the coat clean and you really only need to wash your dog if they are dirty (ie have rolled in something nasty) or if they are smelly (a clean well groomed dog will not smell)

Good luck have fun and remember, socialize socialize socialize, your pup is never too young to start reward based training.I just got a german shepard puppy and need a good shampoo that wont dry the dogs skin out. Can anyone help?
okkies please do NOT use anything but dog shampoo on your dog. d NOT listen to the ppl who use human stuff or things for horses. This will ruin your dogs coat and sometimes it will ruin it for good and you may need constant vet visits. dog shampoo has different ph level to humans as thats what a dog needs. a god brand that sells all over the world is aloveen shampoo and finish with aloveen conditioner. you can find this at any good pet shop. also another brand sold in australia is paws. its excellent and has a puppy version. both these roducts do not contain soaps so are not drying on your dogs coat.
Whatever you do, do not use shampoo or coniditoner that are meant for humans. First of all they make diffrent types of shampoo for diffrent things like animals and humans second it is too strong for them and can damage their fur. i have 3 german shepards one is a puppy I would say to use Perfect Coat.
I use Sargent's dog and puppy shampoo for my GSD/Husky mix. It works very well an does not dry out my dog's skin or coat, because it has conditioner. By the way rinse well, towel dry your GSD. Double coated dogs like GSD's don't need to be blow dried. Brush after you finish drying your puppy to get that fluffy shine afterward. (You can buy it at Walmart)
its called mane n tail. you can get it in the pet section at your local walmart..... it can be used for cats, dogs, horses, humans. etc. it workes really good for my dog, (i have a german shepherd puppy to).

and it makes there hair nice and shiney!

hope this helps :)
Why do you want to shampoo the puppy so soon? I know a lot of people who swear by Murphy's Oil Soap (original). It's good for the coat and skin, for a puppy I would probably use a baby shampoo made for people so it's gentle.
I use Tropiclean dog shampoo they have a oatmeal shampoo that is good for sensitive skin, and it smells so good!!

You can get it at you local petstore.

PetGuard and Pet Promise sell lines of natural grooming products good for dogs. PetGuard also sells great food; Pet Promise's food isn't so good, but its grooming products are superior.

Oat meal shampoo or use a conditioner afte the bath. I use either baby shampoo or dawn dish soap, depending on how dirty the dog is.
Baby shampoo and make sure you rinse very well- then no more bathes for at least 8 weeks- unless the pup really gets dirty so the oils can be intact!
